According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, safe exercise during pregnancy:

“Reduces back pain; eases constipation; may decrease risk of gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and cesarean delivery; promotes healthy weight gain during pregnancy; improves overall general fitness and strengthens heart and blood vessels; helps in losing the baby weight after birth”
It also helps optimize fetal growth by increasing the functional capacity of the placenta to deliver nutrients to your baby.

BONUS: get a 37 page companion packet

Q: Are there any contraindications to prenatal fitness?
A: The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as the the American College of Sports Medicine recommend that healthy women with normal (not high risk or expecting multiples) can start/continue physical activity keeping current guidelines in mind.

Q: I haven’t been active before my pregnancy but I want to start now. Will this class be too hard for me?
A: Starting a new exercise program is safe during pregnancy, provided that important safety guidelines are followed. I am a pre-and postnatal specialist, and I’ll make sure both you and baby are safe. We do not do any high impact exercises and use chairs for balance and for safety.

This class is for you if you’re looking to:

– lose those last 5, 10, 15, 30 or more lbs (regardless of when you had your last baby)
– tone up
– get stronger
– improve your overall health
– get away for an hour to take care of you

BONUS: get a 30 minute complimentary nutrition consultation

Q: Do moms really need a special class?
A: While the class is suitable for everybody, we will focus on specific issues moms face, such as getting rid of the “mom pooch” and target muscle groups we use daily. As a pre-and postnatal specialist, I can help you reach your goals!

Q: I haven’t exercised in forever, will this class be too hard for me?
A: No. This is a safe environment where everybody works at their own skill level as we build up strength and endurance. Every exercise has a modification so that those just starting out can feel confident that they will get the most out of the class.

Q: I have been consistently working out but I feel like I could be getting more out of my fitness journey. Is this class for me?
A: Yes! If you feel like you’ve hit plateau and need to change it up, this class will help you do just that. We will also focus on correct form, and just as there is a low impact modification for those starting on their journey, there is a high impact modification for those who are ready for the challenge.
